1. ’n Kopie van die werk wat aangebied word, moet vir die beoordelaar beskikbaar wees indien dit “eie keuse” is.
   A copy of the work to be presented, must be available for the adjudicator if it is “own choice”.
2. Geen navrae oor punte of toekenning van trofeë sal beantwoord word nie.
   No questions on the allocation of marks or trophies will be answered.
3. Deelnemers kry sertifikate na optrede.
   Participants will receive certificates after participation.
4. Slegs vyf deelnemers per kategorie per skool/privaat onderwyser.
   Only five entries per category/private teacher.
5. Trofeë word na elke afdeling deur die beoordelaar oorhandig.
   Trophies will be presented by the adjudicator after each section.
6. 'n Trofee word slegs toegeken wanneer daar meer as drie deelnemers in 'n kategorie deelgeneem het en die standaard aanvaarbaar was. Die finale beslissing berus by die beoordelaar.
   A Trophy will only be presented if there were more than three participants in the category and the standard was acceptable. The adjudicator has the final say.
7. Alle afdelings is vir Seuns en Dogters.
   All categories are for Boys and Girls.
8. Direkte terugvoering van die beoordelaar sal slegs gegee word indien daar vyf of meer deelneemers in 'n kategorie deelneem.
   The adjudicator will only give feedback if five or more participated in the category.
9. Toegang van R5 per nie-deelnemer sal geheg word op die dag van beoordeling.
   R5 entry fee for each non-participant on the day.
10. Deelnemers moet 10 minute voor deelname aanmeld. Geen voorsiening word gemaak vir deelnemers wat laat opdaag nie.
    Participants must arrive 10 minutes before the time. 
11. Sodra die inskrywings verwerk is, sal die afrigters/ onderwysers 'n naamlys ontvang met klasnommers en tye van beoordeling. Kontroleer asseblief die name vir korrekte spelling en stuur enige veranderinge terug voor die sperdatum soos verskaf. Daarna sal 'n boete gehef word op enige naamverandering. Afrigters/ Onderwysers is verantwoordelik om alle inligting aan die deelnemers deur te gee.
12. BOETES:
    Indien 'n leerling van 'n item onttrek, is 'n boete van R20 per item, R30 vir Redevoering/ Public speaking en R50 vir Eenbedrywe en Programme betaalbaar. Afrigters sal verantwoordelik wees om dit in te vorder en te betaal. Boete betalings moet ontvang wees voordat die beoordeling van die spesifieke klas plaasvind. In geval van siekte sal 'n doktersertifikaat aanvaar word.

Poësie

• Keuse van die gedig moet by die persoonlikheid en ervaringsveld van die deelnemer pas.
• Maak gebruik van pousering, frasering, tempo- en toonhoogtewisseling.
• Gedwonge bewegings is onaanvaarbaar.

Redevoering

• ’n Toespraak moet die spreker se eie werk wees.

• Argumente in die toespraak moet die spreker se eie siening weergee. Wanneer feite en inligting aangehaal word, moet die bronne erken word.
• Notas kan byderhand gehou word, maar die toespraak mag nie afgelees word nie.
• Duidelike en korrekte stemgebruik is uiters belangrik. Variasie t.o.v. tempo, toonhoogte en volume gee kleur aan die aanbieding.
• Oorspronklikheid sal in die spreker se guns tel.
• Tydsduur: Juniors 4-6 minute. Seniors 5-7 minute.
• Spreker moet bereid wees om ook 'n onvoorbereide toespraak te lewer (4 minute).

Public Speaking

• A speech must be the speaker’s own work.
• A speech must have a good structure (opening, body and conclusion).
• Arguments in a speech must be the speaker’s own opinion. When facts or information are given, the source must be acknowledged.
• Notes may be kept at hand, but the speech should not be read.
• The time for a speech in the first category is 4 to 6 minutes and in the other three categories 5 to 7 minutes.
• A clear voice is important. Vocal clarity and variety (variation in pitch, tempo and volume) will enhance the presentation.
• Originality will benefit the speaker.
• duration: Juniors 4-6 minutes. Seniors 5-7 minutes.
• Speaker must be willing to do an unprepared speech (4 minutes).
