Inskrywingsriglyne:
Entry guidelines:

1. Inskrywings mag slegs deur ’n skool of erkende privaat onderwyser gemaak word.
   Entries may only be made by a school or recognised private teacher.
2. Maksimum van vyf deelnemers (per laerskool) per inskrywingskategorie sal van ’n bepaalde skool of privaat onderwyser aanvaar word. Indien hierdie getal oorskry word, sal die botallige inskrywings nie aanvaar word nie.
   Maximum of five participants (per primary school) per grade per category may be entered by a school or recognised private teacher. If the number is exceeded, the additional entries will not be accepted.
3. Deelnemers moet leiding van ’n onderwyser kry.
   Participants must be given guidance by a teacher.
4. Voltooi asseblief die inskryfvorm duidelik en korrek.
   Please fill in the entry form clearly and correctly.
5. Plaas die deelnemer in die korrekte kategorie.
   Place the participant into the correct category.
6. Elke deelnemer moet ’n kopie van die gedig/prosa, wat voorgedra word, vir die beoordelaar saambring.
   Each participant must provide the adjudicator with a copy of the poem or prose.
7. Titel en tydsduur van gedig/prosa moet vermeld word en nie oorskry word nie.
   Title and duration of each piece must be stated and adhered to.
8. Die keuse van dit wat voorgedra word moet by die deelnemer se skoolgraad aanpas.
   The choice of that which is being performed must be suited to the candidate’s school grade. No Roald Dahl work may be performed in Grade 7.
9. In ’n groep aktiwiteit moet elke deelnemer se naam vermeld word.
   In a group activity, each participant’s name, must be submitted.
10. Geen navrae oor die toekenning van trofeë of die beoordelaars se besluit(e) sal beantwoord word nie.
    No queries in connection with the awarding of trophies or the adjudicator's decision(s) will be answered.
11. Gravering op die beker moet deur die bekerwenner op eie koste gedoen word. Die firma L B A Productions & Trophies, Sergeantstraat, Somerset-Wes (Tel: 021 851 4230), word aanbeveel.
    Trophies to be engraved by paricipant, at own expense, if so wished. The firm L B A Productions & Trophies, Sergeant Street, Somerset-West (Tel: 021 851 4230) is recommended.

 

Poësie

Die keuse van gedigte onder EIE KEUSE moet aanpas by die ouderdom en graad van die leerling. Vermy uiters lang poësie asook riskante poësie. Hierdie vereistes kom in aanmerking by die beoordeling. Die gebruik van suiwer Afrikaans is ’n sterk aanbeveling.

Gedramatiseerde Prosa

Dialoog

’n Voorstelling deur EEN of TWEE persone wat deur middel van woord, gebaar, beweging en gesigspel verskeie karakters uitbeeld. ’n Samehangende gedeelte uit ’n toneelstuk of ’n verwerking uit ’n prosawerk kan gebruik word. Die minimum kostuums en basiese rekwisiete is toelaatbaar. Opstel van rekwisiete word beperk tot drie minute. Die gebruik van suiwer Afrikaans is ’n sterk aanbeveling.

Konsertprogram

• Die program moet ’n sentrale tema hê.
• Die klem lê op die oorspronklike keuse en samestelling van prosa, poësie, leeswerk, mimiek, sang en musiek.
• Kostuums, rekwisiete en ameublement, tot ’n minimum, is toelaatbaar.
• Maksimum van vyf deelnemers indien in ’n groep. Opstel van rekwisiete en ameublemente word beperk tot drie minute.
• Handig asseblief kopie van werk in, by opvoering.
• Die gebruik van suiwer Afrikaans is ’n sterk aanbeveling.

Poetry

The choice of poem must be suited to both the age and the grade of the pupil. Avoid over long poems. These requirements will be taken into account in the adjudication.

Dialogue

A dialogue presented by ONE or TWO persons through the medium of word, gesture, movement and facial expressions portraying various characters. An appropriate section out of a play or prose or an adaptation from a book, highlighting characters may be used. The use of props and costumes, to a minimum, is permissable. Time limit for stage setting three minutes.
